Exhibition Materials

Updated: May 1, 2020

When it comes to installing exhibitions the possibilities are endless. From the number of images used to the type of paper, to the materials mounted on and the actual methods of mounting. When it comes to exhibition installation methods there are no right or wrong ways in which it should be done. The most important part is finding a method which suits your work and adds to the message the work is portraying. It is also important taking into account the budget you have for the exhibition. Some methods are cheaper than others and depending on size of prints this directly impacts the price of materials.

Some materials often used:

  • Card

  • PVC

  • Foamboard

  • MDF

  • Dibond

  • Aluminium

  • Perspex

It is important doing your research into each material before making your final decision. Methods such as Dibond and foamboard can have a risk of air bubbles on your print when mounted. Also another thing to research is different comapnies and their prices and services. Some may only supply the materials themselves whereas for a similar price somewhere else the could potentially mount it for you as well. It all depends on what will suit your needs more.
